Green

So just in case you haven't noticed...I have a thing for green.  Any green really.  Blue-green, yellow-green, even putrid olive green.  I think green just makes me feel calm and it feels like home.  My parents house is and almost always has been an homage to the color.  Kermit would most certainly feel at home amongst the green walls, carpet, linoleum flooring, cabinets, counter tops, and various rugs.

Old Work

Here is a pic from my MFA theses show.  As you can see, it is very different from my current functional interests.  This was a 22 by 8 foot wall installation that I did at the Irving Arts Center.  It was fun to make something so big...but right now I am enjoying making work that isn't so complicated to put together.  If you'd like to see more pictures of my installation work you can check out my website.

Anyways...The Christmas sale is tomorrow and I will, of course,  be unloading the kiln at the absolute last minute.  This weekend I will post some pictures!!

Hello!

Hey there.  I am new to the blogging world.  I'd like to use this blog as a way to complement my etsy pottery shop.  I will keep you posted on what I'm making, how it gets done, and anything new I am doing.  Right now I am getting ready for the annual Christmas sale at the studio where I rent space.  It's this Friday and I am still trying to finish firing all my work!  I know I'm a procrastinator....please don't judge me.  Here are some mugs I just finished.  I'm really pleased with the colors, especially since it was my first time using this glaze.  if you like what you see head over to my etsy shop at www.etsy.com/shop/burdittj !!
